Lucia
One of the Windward Islands of the Caribbean, St Lucia is a popular
honeymoon destination. It has white sandy beaches around its fringes
and lush rainforests in the interior. For the beach lizards and
loungers, there is kite surfing, water-skiing, sailing and snorkelling.
For the adventurous, there are mountain bilking or short climbs up the Pitons overlooking Jalousie bay, or a visit to the bubbling sulphur hot springs for a facial.
Like most of the Caribbean islands where sugar cane is grown, the night life is hot in places, cool in others and the local rum flows freely over ice or into tall glasses of lemonade and chopped fruit. Aaah! perfect!
