Antigua
Antigua is a dreamy Caribbean island, with more
beaches than you can visit in a year even if you go to a different
one every day. The sun always shines and the nights are warm and
seductively balmy.
The people are English speaking, laid back and friendly. Here
tomorrow never comes and yesterday is always a pleasant sun kissed
dream.
The hotels are beautiful and built in an English colonial fashion,
though there is a move to more exquisite buildings, constructed
of local wood and marble.
The local brew is a knock-your-head off rum, which you can sip
neat with ice or mix with
orange, pineapple or other fruits and suck through a straw. Both
ways will lead you to the
land of merry intoxication where "everyt'ings fine mon."
The holidays preoccupation, other than sitting in the sun are,
diving, sailing, swimming
with dolphins or giant turtles, eating the local food and of course
shopping of those all important un important things.
