How to organise the wedding
My fiance has just proposed and I accepted, of course. But now we are wandering how we are going to organise the wedding, since neither of us are in any way organisers.
There are a multitude of wedding planners to be found in the
pages of the majority of the bridal magazines that are available.
Most of the wedding directory web sites have wedding planners
that can be printed off at no charge. (INCLUDING THIS ONE.
see below for link.)
But the first thing you need to decide is what sort of wedding
you want. TRADITIONAL CHURCH - TRADITIONAL NON CHURCH - WEDDING
ABROAD.
Then decide on how much money you realistically can afford
to spend. Below are links to pages on this site that it might
be useful to read.
But if you feel that you still need help organising your wedding then there are many professional wedding organisers who will plan your wedding for you.
I have a very demanding full time job and so does my fiancé and we are struggling to find the time to organize our wedding. I have friends and family who have offered to take some of the organizational load. Should I hand over the reins and let them get on with it?
The question is, are you the type of person who will be happy
relinquishing control of what is your one and only wedding?
Some brides think that organizing their wedding is part and
parcel of the wedding experience.
Then, there is the question of blame? Who carries
the can, if something is forgotten or goes, God forbid, terribly
wrong? Is it the people who have, out of the goodness of their
hearts taken on the task? Or is it you, who should have been
in control all along?
You could of course employ the services of a wedding organiser,
who will guide you and make suggestions, so that you can remain
in overall control.
We don't have a lot of money to splash out on a big expensive
wedding. What are the things that we could save on?
