"How do I arrange a cheaper wedding"

We got engaged a month ago and have started to make a list of all the things that we will need to buy. But the list just grows and grows and the costs already look like enough money to buy a car outright, which we badly need. How can we save money and still have a wedding that will be memorable?

Most couples, even the fairly well off, try to save money when it comes to planning their wedding. Weddings don't have to be swimming in champagne and caviar. And the bride does not have to be transported in a gleaming Rolls Royce for it to be a enjoyable and memorable.
